A professional starting framework, not a rigid package: seven nights on the Kenya coast and two nights in Tsavo, rebuilt around the traveller, flights, season, sea and energy level.
A ROUTE THAT CAN BREATHE
Day by day, without pretending every traveller is the same.
The order changes with tides, park gates, traffic, flight times and weather. Wasini and Funzi are alternatives unless the journey is extended.
Mombasa Island
Fort Jesus, the Old Town, harbour viewpoints, market or craft stops, Swahili food and time for the living city rather than a rushed photo stop.
Marine safari
A licensed glass-bottom boat, reef briefing and snorkelling where sea state, conservation rules and personal ability permit. No wildlife sighting is promised.
Mangroves by canoe or boat
A tide-planned mangrove route at Mida, Kilifi, Mtwapa, Wasini or Funzi, selected according to the hotel base and the rest of the route.
Wasini or Funzi island day
Choose one coherent south-coast island journey. Wasini is usually paired with Kisite marine activity; Funzi focuses on river, mangrove, sandbank and island landscapes.
Craft and community route
A verified workshop, craft centre or village-hosted visit, with consent, transparent payments and no staged intrusion into private life.
Free-choice coast day
Deep-sea fishing, diving, jet ski, windsurfing, kitesurfing, skydiving, spa, food tour, Shimba Hills or complete rest, subject to age, health, weather and operator checks.
Rest and a flexible final coast day
Keep genuine unscheduled time, then add only what still feels right: café, beach, shopping, Haller Park, restaurant, music or sunset cruise.
Tsavo, first night
Early road or rail connection toward Tsavo East or Tsavo West, an afternoon game drive where practical, and a lodge chosen by route rather than name alone.
Tsavo, second night
Morning and afternoon wildlife windows with rest between them. Night safari is included only in a location and concession where it is explicitly authorised.
Departure matched to the ticket
Continue to Mombasa or Nairobi according to the departure airport. The final lodge, road, rail or domestic flight is set from the international ticket backwards.
